Nothing is too much trouble
This is a small fantastic care home. The management, the carers, the cooks, the housekeeping, and the district nurses all really care passionately about the residents. Nothing is too much trouble. It is comfortable, homely and safe. The food is home cooked and nourishing and special requirements are catered for. Outside is a lovely garden which is well maintained with seating, bird feeders and plenty of space for residents to enjoy summer weather. Our Dad has settled in well and is getting the care and support he needs. I have waited 3 months before posting this and would have no hesitation in recommending.

To Gresh, Thank you to you, your family and your angels without wings for all the love, kindness, care and smiles you showed mum, Madge. Words will never be enough. We will miss you all. She always said how well looked after she was
My Mum spent the last four years of her life at Oaklands. She was not always easy to handle and suffered from Alzheimer's. I have only the highest regard for Gresh, the manager and his wonderful staff who looked after Mum with the utmost care and patience. This is a professional team who are devoted to providing the best support they possibly can.
Communication was excellent and my sister and I were well informed about all aspects of Mum's life. She always said how well looked after she was and how much she enjoyed the games! Thank you to all the staff at Oaklands, you do an amazing job.

If Carlsberg made care homes
If Carlsberg made care homes it would be Oakland's. Oakland's is a small well run care home where everything is done properly. The owner and all the staff really care for their residents. Rooms are basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food is varied and always well cooked and presented. Residents are kept stimulated and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The staff also care passionately for the relatives of their residents, giving support and advice where needed, contacting relatives if something needs to be said but taking responsibility where they can safely make that decision. All in all just the best.

A warm homely atmosphere
Lovely little carehome with a warm homely atmosphere. You can see all the carers & the owner care about all the residents. The food is freshly cooked & my mum thoroughly enjoyed it along with the activities.
